Kadena Air Base is the hub of airpower in the Pacific, and home to the Air Force’s largest combat wing—the 18th Wing—and a variety of associate units. Together they form “Team Kadena”—a world-class combat team ready to fight and win from the Keystone of the Pacific.

KOSC MISSION STATEMENT
The Kadena Officers' Spouses' Club (KOSC) is an organization committed to promoting volunteerism and service to society by fostering relationships with the Okinawan community through charitable contributions promoting friendship.

The KOSC raises funds by operating the Kadena Gift Corner, which is primarily run by volunteers. The KOSC is a member of the American Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) through which the majority of charitable funds are distributed to both American and Japanese charities.

Kadena Officers’ Spouses’ Club — Promoting education through scholarships, fostering friendship within the Okinawan Community, and volunteering to help raise money for charitable giving.

• KADENA OFFICERS’ SPOUSES’ CLUB SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The KOSC Scholarship Committee would like to thank all of the 2010 scholarship applicants. The applications are being processed and a panel of independent judges will determine the scholarship recipients in April.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 1st. The KOSC Membership will honor the 2010 scholarship recipients during an awards dinner on Thursday 20 May 2010, 6:30 pm, at the O’Club.

ATTENTION SPOUSES!

The KOSC Scholarship program is EXTENDING its deadline for spouses who wish to apply!

Due to the sudden halt that the Pentagon has placed on the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCCA), we would like to extend the deadline until March 31st. KOSC Coins available!
Show your support by purchasing one, two or even three!! Cost is $12 each—if you buy two or more, they are $10 each. Checks and cash only please.

Coins will be available at each function. KOSC is adding a new game to many functions. A board member will throw down a coin and those who have their KOSC coin with them will receive an extra door prize ticket. $12 each or 2 for $20

KOSC and the MSG Spouses want to welcome you to a night of mystery. Come join us in a tantalizing night in Tinseltown filled with twists and terror.

As the night unfolds, so will a web of lies and scandals intricately woven to point you to a killer. It is up to you to uncover the clues.

Reservations are required by February 24th, in order to prepare scripts.

• To go with the theme of "A Salute to the Military Spouse" for the October Dining In, our 18 Comm Squadron Spouses Group came up with a song/poem to say “HATS OFF TO THE MILITARY SPOUSE.”
